Brown Kafa Pulu – Braided Coconut fibers

The Kafa pulu (in the Tongan language) is also known as ‘Mangi mangi’ (in the Fijian language) is hand made from natural coconut husks. The brown fibrous texture is rubbed together to form long strands. These strands are then braided, and knotted in the ends to avoid the braids coming undone.
